Throughout their schooling, pupils
develop digital skills that form part
of the essential foundation that all pupils
must acquire by the end of compulsory
education. As early as primary school, pupils
are introduced to coding and programming.
The digital has been given a new place
in upper secondary curricula:
• all Grade 10 pupils are taught digital
sciences and technology, enabling them
to grasp the concepts of digital sciences,
understand the increasing importance of
the digital and the major ways in which it
influences human activity;
• in Grades 11 and 12, pupils can choose the
Digital and Computer Science specialism,
which allows them to get to grips with
the fundamental concepts and methods of
computer studies, in its scientific and
technical dimensions
